Review published content, internal-link candidates, missing local image files and SEO essentials with a manual local evidence report.

== Description ==

SSF SEO Health & Link Audit gives administrators a useful local checklist without changing their site's content or search-engine configuration. Run an audit from Tools > SSF SEO Health and download JSON or spreadsheet-safe CSV evidence.

The Free plugin inspects up to 100 published posts/pages per manual run, oldest ID first. A manual start offset lets you inspect subsequent batches without Pro. It checks saved-content links, local uploads file candidates, absent image alt attributes, blank post titles and content H1 structure. It also reads WordPress search visibility and explicit Rank Math noindex settings when those values exist. Rank Math is not required.

Reports explain the evidence and its limits. An unresolved internal URL is a candidate for manual review, not a verified 404. A local file may be absent because a CDN/offload service serves it elsewhere. A theme may supply the H1 even when saved content has none. WordPress search visibility alone does not prove indexability or indexing.

The plugin makes no network requests. It does not fetch robots.txt, rendered pages, external links, redirects or response headers. It does not inspect comments, private/draft content, custom post types, navigation, widgets or JavaScript-rendered output. Query strings are omitted from target URLs; a known public WordPress page_id/p identifier is preserved in the source page permalink when needed. Each page is limited to 512 KiB of saved content and 400 references. Each report is limited to 5,000 findings. Partial results are labelled.

It writes only its own local report option. It does not change SEO titles, meta descriptions, schema, sitemaps, robots, redirects or published content. Audits run only when an authorised administrator requests them, not on visitor traffic. Free remains useful without a subscription, key, external service or Pro add-on.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the ZIP through Plugins > Add Plugin > Upload Plugin, then activate.
2. Open Tools > SSF SEO Health as an administrator.
3. Choose a page limit and run a local audit.
4. Review candidates on the real website before making any manual changes.
5. Download JSON/CSV or use Delete stored reports when finished.

PHP DOM and mbstring extensions are required. These are normally available in WordPress hosting; confirm with your host before installation.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Does it verify HTTP status or fix links? =
No. Version 0.1.1 resolves published post/page references and verified local uploads paths without HTTP. Unknown routes and missing files are evidence candidates. It does not edit links or redirects.

= Will it conflict with Rank Math or another SEO plugin? =
It does not emit SEO tags or change another plugin's settings. It reads explicit Rank Math title, description, canonical and robots metadata when present; it does not reproduce Rank Math's template resolution. Test your complete installation in staging.

= What is stored and sent? =
The latest bounded report is stored in the local WordPress database. It contains public page IDs, public URLs, selected explicit public SEO fields, counts and evidence; no full page HTML or credentials. Nothing is sent to an outside service. Administrators can delete it on the tool screen. Deactivation/uninstall retain it unless you delete it first.

= Is this a complete technical SEO or accessibility audit? =
No. It is a local saved-content review aid, with stated scope and limits. It provides no ranking score, legal verdict or indexing guarantee.
