A practical setup sequence

  1. Start on staging. Keep a verified backup and install the Free plugin first. Add Pro and Agency as needed.
  2. Review existing SEO output. Prepare your metadata and use one provider for public SEO tags. Recognized competing providers keep SSF output off.
  3. Check what the public page serves. Review the title, canonical address, schema, sitemap and image delivery after making changes.
  4. Measure one change at a time. Compare real pages and interactive journeys before expanding performance settings.
  5. Connect reports when ready. Configure your own authorized Google/Bing access. Refresh reports manually and retain their dates.

Before you install

What does the migration tool copy?

Pro previews explicit Yoast or Rank Math post metadata and copies supported values into empty SSF fields. Source metadata stays intact. Template expressions, taxonomy metadata and global settings need separate review. Undo preserves edits made after the migration.

How do the image tools work?

Create a smaller WebP copy, or AVIF when your host supports it. Original files remain in place. Delivery covers supported WordPress attachment markup and content images; theme backgrounds and custom delivery systems may need separate handling. Turn SSF image delivery off to return to source URLs.

How does the rendering cache work?

The optional cache stores rendered HTML for selected public pages after WordPress loads. It bypasses logged-in visits, cookies, query strings and standard shop/cart/checkout routes. It does not replace a server cache or CDN. Test forms and personalized pages before enabling caching.

Does Agency include Google or Bing access?

You configure your own Google OAuth client and authorized Search Console property, or your verified Bing Webmaster API key. Service access, quotas and any service charges are separate. Reports are read-only and refreshed manually. Missing reports remain unknown.

Does it replace WooCommerce Product schema?

WooCommerce keeps ownership of its Product schema. SSF supplies its documented metadata and optional local-business/software schema; a separate advanced shop audit is not included in this release.

What are the requirements?

WordPress 6.6 or later and PHP 8.1 or later. Image conversion depends on host image-editor support. Connected reporting requires HTTPS, except for an explicitly configured local test environment. Test your own theme and plugin combination on staging.

Will it guarantee rankings or indexing?

No plugin can guarantee rankings, indexing or rich results. Useful content, relevance and other factors still matter. Google explains this in its page-experience guidance.
